  • Once again sponsoring Herps, Hoots, and Hops, an evening bird and nature walk followed by a social at Three Canyon Beer & Wine Garden
  • We’ll have a booth at the festival’s Nature Expo and again be collecting used binoculars and spotting scopes to donate to our partners
Plus, we’ll be joining in on all the incredible festival and location has to offer.

Optional accommodations: Desert life at the No Pants Ranch and the Sonora Shack

We have a fantastic rental house for the duration of the festival!

This vibrant, curiosity-filled octagonal home nestled in the Tucson Mountains is a private wildlife sanctuary and artist’s and desert naturalist’s retreat. The main house has four bedrooms and 2.5 baths along with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and all the expected amenities. Next to the main house is the Sonora Shack with 5 beds (one double, two double futons, and two twin beds.

Outside, the five-acre property is a naturalist’s paradise just begging to be carefully explored. There are fifty-three saguaro cacti ranging from pin-cushion size, five-year-old babies to their giant grandparents well over 100 years old! You’ll also discover many other native cactus and agave, wildflowers, ancient desert trees, various lizards, birds, snakes, and interesting insects. You can soak in the outdoor clawfoot tub or hang on the hammock and view our colony of Brazilian free-tailed bats as they emerge from their bat houses at sunset. After dark, you might spy javelinas, coyotes, and bobcats who come to drink from our watering hole.
